Chicks
All chicks are hatched and monitored to ensure healthy happy babies before going on to their new home.
Grown birds
We offer day-old chicks up to mature laying hens. Birds are available on a first come first serve availability and are listed when available on our Facebook page.
Breed
Midnight riders
Midnight Riders are a hatchery special. This is a breed the Starkville Hatchies has been working on since 2020. The goal of this breeding program is to create a solid black, meat-included, bantam cochin breed. This breed was started with the intent of creating a bantam version of the Ayam Cemani. This breed produces medium-sized light tan eggs and has a high egg yield. They are very friendly and social birds. Currently, the breed is randomly producing chicks with small spots of white, we are currently working on correcting this.
